I'm an insomniac!

(No Makeup AH!)

So it's another night of insomnia, right now I can see the sunrise and I'm just barely getting sleepy. But I have always been like this since I was a kid. Me and my sister would stay up all night and once the sun would peep through we would take morning walks, it was so nice and refreshing. I would love to do those things now but it's just not the same. I might. And back when I used to have my own room, I would sneak outside just to sit on my lawn and breathe in the night air and look at the sky. To me, the night can be so much more beautiful and mysterious, it's scary too cause I'm also a bit paranoid but every night around the same time, 1a.m. or so and afterwards I feel more inspired and creative. I really don't know how to explain it, but I always want to do DIY's or painting, sewing,writing, or just taking a stroll around the block to just think. And the funny thing is when I'm doing the same things during the day it feels not very interesting or entertaining but at night something in me just switches. I just prefer the night life, it's quietness, no loud cars or lawnmowers how I'm possibly the only one awake, and I don't have to be bothered with anyone.Maybe my dilemma is restless nights haha. Anyways I'm off to slumber and dream the day away. Goodnight <3

Can you read each others minds??

 Basically, it's as though I'm looking into a mirror, we are mirror identical twin girls. I always, always get comments from people asking if I can read her mind, feel her pain, if we like all the same things, dress the same. And to answer some of these questions, quite frankly, I've never been able to "read her mind" but in some instances I know exactly what she is going to say, and do, and feel. But it's not how most people think. It's just a feeling that I get. And for the most part my guess will be right. It's funny with twins, she is my only best friend, she knows all of my secrets (down to the very last detail) and if it came down to it, I'm pretty certain she would be my partner in crime haha. No worries I wont go robbing a bank or anything, I'm just trying to give a you an idea into "twin-ness". 

Secondly I'm not sure if I feel her pain now, because she is in South Korea, and on a day to day basis I don't know if she has a pain in her left big toe like I do, but when we were tiny I remember having an ache on the left side of my arm, lets just say, and she would feel an ache on her right. It was like that, mirrored pains.

When it come to liking the same things, it's to a certain extent, we basically love the same foods, colors, animals, but not fashion. She is conservative and clean. She likes girly things and classic styles. And I've always liked boho and layers, tribal print and bright colors. 

Now that she is oversea's and I can't see her or be with her, it's hard for me. I dream about her all the time and nowadays people who know me in real life say that they think I'm her, and that I sound just like her, and I guess that's because she's so far away, I don't know. 

Some people told me that they wouldn't want to have a twin even if it had it's advantages, because they felt it would take away their uniqueness. But I would Never wish to have been born a single child. I feel so lucky to have grown up with my twin because it added so much to the experiences in my life. If you could have a twin, or triplet, quadruplet, or whatever would you?

So the other day I went to the Burlington Coat Factory for the first time, and to be honest I wasn't expecting much. I imagined the place to be full of older women clothing and a small selection, but when I went in I was amazed at all the nice trendy things they had. Like jewelery and makeup! But the best find of all were these Steve Madden sandals. I am in love with these, I think they're gorgeous! I couldn't believe they carried Steve Madden along with Ralph Lauren and other nice brands for SO cheap. These were $9.99!! That's crazy, because I know they retailed for $40-$50. I don't know but these are what I'll be wearing ALL summer I already know it :)

And these omg! I found them while I was thrifting and I just had to have them. And after I got them I started to see them everywhere on lookbook on youtube and I thinks it's funny, I completely stumbled across these. They're handmade from real leather and even though I've seen ones like these, mine will be unique since somebody handmade them. I just adore these moccassin booty's so so much!

Me back in high school

Lately I've been thinking about self esteem, confidence, and overall general happiness. I've been inspired by a youtuber named BrittneyNGray by her words, beauty, and message. How she portrays confidence, self expression, and a sense of knowing who she is, and what she wants. I've never really been that type of girl, things have been hard in my life that affected my self image, my stability, and my happiness. But watching her has helped me see how hardships can shape you into a beautiful mold, and when it's over, and the drama or hardship has subsided, that you become a beautiful being with so much more knowledge and insight on life. I'm self conscious and which makes me unhappy. And just by watching her, I've felt that hope, by her words that I can change my insecurities. Of course not overnight but little by little by taking her advice and applying it to my daily life has changed my outlook dramatically. I started working out, eating healthy so that I will be comfortable in my bathing suit. I will not do things just because someone else tells me to, or if they thinks it's right. I want to expand my knowledge, ask millions of questions! And I guess this post is for all of you, if something is bothering you and it comes between you and your happiness, know it will pass, and in the end you will learn so much from it. Be confident and know how beautiful and special you are that there will never be another you, and that I want you to smile :)

Fashion Icons

Of all the celebrities that are big right now in 2011, I will always love the Olsen twins. Their sense of style has always been unique and captivating. Their always on top of the trend or not at all and starting another one. And I love their signature makeup, it's gorgeous and something I love to do personally. That dark brown, sometimes copper smokey eye with lots of mascara. I just think how they present themselves to the world is very different than what you normally would see from the red carpet. and that's why I'm fascinated with them.

Healthy Lifestyle

So here's a picture of me in highschool, hahaha I'm just kidding, it's fatbooth on the iphone. I felt like blogging about health and fitness, because lately I have been watching videos and reading articles on smoothies to make, instead of having a hamburger (which I love! since I won't be having any meat :p) or tofu soups, and all kinds of goodies! Since summer is practically here, of course I wanted to tone up. I'm pretty tiny as is, and weight is a minor issue for me, so toning is the keyword here. I've been doing lots of pilates instead of hardcore, 5 mile running and it's definitely something I'll get up to do because it's fun. You know how sometimes you'll have a set day to get up, and go on that run, but you can't? Well that was me, I didn't like doing boring repetitive workouts. My favorite youtube pilates instructor is blogilates, she's energetic and her workouts are awesome, so check her out!

I wanna GO already...

Another night where I cannot sleep

So me and Dave (bf) finally got the motorhome, fixed anything that could have turned into a problem, moved in all our stuff, and now just waiting to say our good bye's to family. I'm so excited for this journey to begin, mostly because after living in the same area all my life, it's time to venture off and experience life the way it should be. With love, thrills, terrors, joy, and everything that comes with being independent from society. That's what I would say I love the most about the idea, is nobody can tell you how to live, what's the proper way to handle your own damn business. And I'm so ready for that disconnection. To take a break and breathe. I plan on doing a lot of art, crafts, thrifting, reading, writing, and blogging :) . Were going to record the whole trip and compose a little something when we do decide to come back. And I'll probably enroll in more classes and get that ball rolling too. So it's about 8 a.m. and I haven't slept at all yet, I've been drinking tea and chai everynight and watching videos on youtube nonstop. It's a tad ridiculous, and I know hah I'll get tired of it eventually and spend all of my energy on something else. Well off to sleep the day away, and be a vampire again tonight.

Hair update I guess

So I just left my hair in rollers overnight and came out with this! Even when I brush them out they go right back in place. Lately I've been wanting to experiment with my hair, getting a perm, different ways to wear it up, to curl it or get a haircut. Because I'm just so frickin bored of my hair, and I want a change that won't be damaging, but comes out decent. So I tried this out and I really like it, (especially after day one) and I think I'm going to start doing it more often. 

This is after a day and I HAD to pin my bangs back because I went bowling with my bf family and I just couldn't bowl with hair in my face. The curl really relaxed a lot!

Ugh... another night I can't sleep. Sometimes it feels like I have insomnia. I'll stay up drawing, making trinkets, eating, watching t.v., everything EXCEPT sleeping, haha. So I just took this picture to show you all my bags I got from staying up too often:) What do you do when you can't sleep?

Twins

This is my twin sister, my best friend. She joined the army and now is overseas in Korea. She decided it was the life she wanted, and now she loves it, but I can't help but be angry, and selfish because I want her here. I want to take the long walks early in the morning talking for hours about our dreams, lovers, adventures to be had. I miss her so much, I wish you safety overseas, and I love you.

Back in the day

Back in high school I had short hair :) At the end of high school I decided to let it grow out, because I would see other girls with long beautiful hair, and I just always had choppy crazy hair that had a mind of it's own. Looking back I liked it but I'm glad to have long hair now. What do you guys think? better long or short?

bangs,bangs,bangs..

So I've been considering cutting bangs on myself for some time. I'm not sure if it will fit me? But I want to experiment a little. When I was in grade school, my Dad would always cut me and my sisters bangs, real thick ,chunky bangs. :) Until we decided to cut our own hair which went horribly haha .And besides hair always grows, so i should stop being afraid right?

Wawona Beach, such an awesome day.I love having those days where everything just goes right. Sometimes the slightest thing can set some one off and they will either bump into you without saying "excuse me", or look at you odd, and then your upset and end up taking it out on someone else,  it's a cycle. So sometimes I try to tell myself, "don't let it upset you, let your day be great", and it helps me. So the next time someone is upsetting you, or just being rude, don't let it. Just let your happiness shine.

Enjoyin a Cruise through Town

 I love thinking of the days when I would take walks all over town, not really going somewhere, or having plans, except to find a spot to relax and draw, or listen to music. I would dedicate days just for that, and honestly those times were my funnest, and especially when a friend or my bf would tag along. If I found a job that required travelling and art, it would be my perfect match.
